A warm and approachable identity that captures the easy charm of Helsinki’s favorite summer island. Uunisaari is a small island just off the coast of Helsinki, home to a cozy summer restaurant and a much-loved local escape. Accessible by ferry in summer and by a bridge in winter, the island offers good food, beautiful scenery, and a calm seaside atmosphere. We refreshed Uunisaari’s visual identity while keeping its authentic charm and strong character. The goal was to design a look that feels as familiar and fresh as the island itself — modern, distinctive, and effortlessly welcoming.

The new logo was inspired by the island’s seaside architecture and tranquil surroundings. It features the island’s iconic building by the water, drawn in a simple, illustrative style that adds warmth and authenticity to the brand.
The typography is clean and friendly, and the color palette reflects the tones of sea and stone.
Every detail was designed to evoke the feeling of sitting in the sun with a slice of pizza in hand — that quiet happiness that defines Uunisaari.
The refreshed identity extended across multiple touchpoints, from signage to printed and digital materials.
We designed a visually engaging map that helps visitors navigate the island’s services and pathways, and created a logo system that works beautifully across different scales and surfaces.
